Geomagnetic storm - non event.

Fears of an intense geomagnetic storm as a result of strong Solar winds have now been dispelled: Below is a report from: Spaceweather.com which is a totally unrelated site.

“STORM WARNING, CANCELLED: A coronal mass ejection (CME) probably hit Earth’s magnetic field today, but the signature of impact was masked by a fast-blowing stream of solar wind already swirling around Earth. Tonight’s geomagnetic storm warning is cancelled.”

This is very much a transitional period between two very different mood states. On the one hand we are emerging from the so called ‘doldrum period’ that comes midway between the Full Moon and New Moon, or vice versa; This can result in flattened, uninspired ,or even depressional states of mind with lowered self esteem and confidence.

On the other side we are beginning to experience the influence of an altogether more zestful period with more upbeat and positive feelings with an expansion of mind and ideas that can promote a heightened sense of well being and purpose. Under these circumstances there may be an opportunity to see and feel to a more exalted rhythm and take pleasure from the simple things, or simply just appreciate the good things that we have.

In many respects this is a time that offers reflection and energy to regenerate ones vigour and move forward into new and more rewarding avenues of experience. Equally this is a time readily disposed to rest and relaxation, with all the necessary ingredients to unburden oneself of needless cares and apprehensions. Read the rest of this entry »

We are still very much in the so called ‘doldrum period’ that comes midway between the Full Moon and New Moon or vice versa.

With regards to moods and emotions this can lead to a short but noticeable period of flattened or lowered emotional intensity with reduced self confidence and inspiration. It may feel harder to get going, and ones daily routine may assume even more demanding dimensions than normal. In addition there may be significant doubts and misgivings, or an over pessimistic view of ones future prospects.

As a consequence problems may tend to be magnified and assume undue proportions. There may also be distracting influences and poor concentration that could make it harder to focus on important decisions that may well be avoided altogether. Similarly there may be a loathing for situations requiring a high degree of responsibility, and a tendency to want to escape from high pressure conditions rather than face them head on. Today sees one of the most unsettling of mood influences: the alignment between the Moon and Uranus.

This can create highly turbulent, unstable, and erratic moods and dispositions. In addition there may be restless, changeable, and highly strung emotions with over excitable behaviour that could lead to supreme domestic upheaval . Problems may be exaggerated and there may be drastic or dramatic reactions to even mundane, everyday situations.

Moon/Uranus alignments are often associated with particularly macabre crimes or mass shootings where a lone gunman will run amok, and sometimes this has applied to previously law abiding citizens with no criminal record.

This alignment can also lead to unusual, eccentric, bizarre, or out of character behaviour with a strong deviation from the norm. The Moon/Uranus alignment lasts for barely 24 hours but its consequences may be around for a long time to come, and this period needs the most careful of handling.

A moderating factor at this time is the current phase of the Moon which at around 53% illuminated marks entry into the so called ‘doldrum period.’ This comes twice monthly between the Full Moon, or New Moon, or vice versa. Read the rest of this entry »

The Interplanetary Magnetic Field.

We are now in a high speed Solar wind stream that in the following days is likely to create heightened geomagnetic activity. On this occasion its effects may be even more acutely felt as the Interplanetary Magnetic Field is currently southwards orientated. So far as peoples moods are concerned the IMF works as follows.

When the magnetic field is northwards orientated fewer particles from space penetrate through to our atmosphere.

On the other hand a southwards orientated magnetic field - such as is currently the case -means something like a an open corridor to the Universe through which cosmic energy can reach through to our atmosphere. This is what causes displays of aurorae or the Northern lights as Solar particles interact with our atmosphere.

When it comes to emotional behaviour a southwards inclined IMF can bring highly sensitive moods and feelings, and this is especially so when the IMF is southwards orientated for several days at a time.
