We are now just a matter of days away from the New Moon which comes on July 1st at 08:54 UTC, or 04:54 Eastern Time.

Inevitably the proximity of the New Moon will lead to a continued period of heightened tensions with strong nervous restlessness, anxiety and stress.

Under these circumstances there may be strong apprehensions with exaggerated fears and concerns. Problems may appear magnified, and those susceptible to sensitive atmospheres could find this mood environment especially challenging. In addition it could prove harder to concentrate and ones normal routine may be disrupted by other more attractive alternatives. Important decisions may be shunned, and there may be an aversion towards making major choices.

As with any immediate New Moon situation there will also be an increased degree of irritability, or belligerence. These emotions will be all the more accentuated by the alignment of the Moon and Mars. Likely mood traits include passionate, hasty, intolerant, and forceful inclinations with the likelihood of arguments or simmering tensions that may lead to inner turmoil or intense frustration.

It cannot be too highly stressed that this is a mood atmosphere capable of extreme emotions of a highly challenging nature. On the other hand there is the potential to exploit the intense energy of this period to very good effect with prodigous effort and productivity. However extra balance and detremination will be required to make the best possible use of this energy, and there may be a propensity to over do things leading to fatigue and tiredness.

All in all this is an atmosphere that can be as rewarding as it can be difficult: both opening doors to fresh ideas and challenges, and at the same time producing tensions that some may find difficult to confront.

Coming days will see a similar heightening of tensions but over the next 24 hours the alignment between the Moon and Venus will at least ensure a more harmonious, balanced, and better disposed atmosphere.
