Today sees the Moon in opposition to both Mars and Venus. This is sure to lead to a swiftly changing mood atmosphere that will vary quite considerably.

The brash and passionate nature of Mars with its strong aggressive nature will be balanced by the more gentle and understanding emotions of Venus. In addition there will be a strong element of intimacy and affection with the need to feel loved and wanted.

At the same time there will be quite noticeable drive and determination with strong feelings that may be vigorously and forcefully expressed. Indeed there may be a gross over-reaction to perceived criticism, and passions may be easily ignited over the merest trifle. Today sees a massive alignment involving the Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, Earth and Saturn. Inevitably this will result in a highly complex set of emotions with contrasting moods and feelings that in some respects may tend to cancel each other out.

For example Jupiter is likely to create exuberant, generous, humorous and expansive feelings with a vibrant and fun loving attitude. On the other hand this will be contrasted by the more demure, restrained and calculated nature of Saturn that may tend to cancel some of the wilder impulses of Jupiter. It should also be remembered that we are still very much under he influence of the Uranus/Jupiter alignment. This is an extremely slow moving alignment that will be with us for the rest of the year, and occurs only once every 14 years. Likely mood traits include a strong deviation from the norm with the possibility of highly original creative thought and ideas with eccentric and out of character emotions and feelings.

Unfortunately this may also include drastic and extremely anti-social compensation for personal inadequacies. Because this alignment is so very slow moving many of its traits and inclinations will be absorbed and taken for granted, but they will still be present and will add considerable variety to the months ahead. Both planets are also in opposition to Saturn, creating an extremely rare pattern that is sure to have a highly determinative effects on world events and shape the planets affairs to a considerable extent.

This is a mood environment strongly influenced by numerous important factors. One is the continuing state of high tension, nervous restlessness and anxiety created by the recent Full Moon; Another is the opposition between the Moon and Mercury, and yet another is a continuing high speed Solar wind stream that has led to higher levels of geomagnetic activity.

To add to this there is the influence of the Mars/Venus alignment which although past its peak is still highly influential. Likely mood traits to emerge from this assortment of emotions is a complex mixture of moods and inclinations that will be high on intense nervous energy or an over alert sense of awareness and perception.
