We are still in an extremely heightened mood scenario that comes as we are just beginning to exit one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. Indeed there is barely a planet in the Solar System that is not currently aligned with the Earth.

With regard to moods this will relate to sensitive and delicate emotions with powerful mood impulses that can alternate between aggression and anger and other more refined, emotional, and sentimental feelings.

Under these circumstances two alignments dominate. The first is the continuing conjunction between the Sun and Neptune. As mentioned numerous times already this will heighten the more delicate nature of feelings mentioned above, but will also contribute to chaos and confusion with strong escapist tendencies. These may be to the detriment of a well ordered routine and lead to a strong desire to want to take the edge off the atmosphere through either drugs or drink.

The other major alignment of this period involves Venus and Jupiter. With regard to likely mood traits this will include generous and expansive feelings with added charm, popularity and a better appreciation of things of beauty and value. On the other hand it may lead to vulgar, exaggerated, and extravagant feelings with the potential for accidents or mishaps.

Meanwhile the Mars/Mercury opposition will contribute to assertive, quick and alert mental awareness with increased passion, together with incisive and forthright expression. Less attractive is a disposition towards irritability and argumentative behaviour with some sarcasm and recklessness.

On the more positive side this mood - despite it’s more discouraging feelings - will pave the way to enthusiastic, creative and inspired feelings, with a stronger sense of optimism. This may manifest itself in unique and orginal thoughts and ideas, though acting on them may have to confront a poor sense of concentration as other more tempting feelings become difficult to resist.

Coming days will see a comparative lowering in the intensity of moods and feelings, but this will still continue as a highly complex emotional situation.

Alert is 8. Moon 11% illuminated.
