We are now at the climax of a particularly heightened period of moods and emotions that comes just days after the New Moon.

In addition we are now at the peak of one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. Indeed there is barely a planet in the Solar system that is not currently aligned with the Earth in some significant way. As a result we find extremely sharpened moods and emotions with notable contrasts that contribute to a highly polarised mood atmosphere.

A special note of warning must be sounded regarding the alignment between the Moon and Uranus. As frequent visitors to this site will be aware Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of mood unsettling influences capable of extremes of circumstance. Likely mood traits include eccentric, strange, and out of character mood impulses with the possibility of perverse and bizarre emotions and inclinations. There is also the possibility of supreme upheaval within the family setting, made all the more likely by numerous other potent planetary alignments, listed below.

The Sun/Neptune alignment will bring powerful self-refining impulses with idealistic, impressionable and sensitive feelings, but a strong urge towards escapism that may involve an over reliance on drug or alcohol abuse. This may also be to the detriment of a well ordered routine as other more tempting alternatives prove too difficult to resist.

At the same time we are now at the peak of the alignment featuring Venus and Jupiter. This is likely to offset some of the more aggressive elements of this pre New Moon atmosphere with more generous, expansive and affectionate feelings with a better sense of understanding and appreciation of beauty. On the other hand there may be an inclination towards vulgarity, or gross exaggeration or over extravagant gestures with a reckless disposition that may lead to mishaps and accidents or else substantial financial losses and expenditure.

To complete a highly loaded emotional picture Mars is also at the peak of its opposition to Mercury which can lead to an emotionally colored imagination with irrational fears and increased mental and emotional confusion.

It will be appreciated that this is an extremely complex mood atmosphere capable of limitless twists and variations that are almost impossible to predict. However it is certain to say this will constitute a highly colorful period of feelings that will bring positive results as well as other less desirable feelings and consequences. Above all however the next 24 hours will tend to be dominated by the unsettling effects of the Moon/Uranus alignment that as mentioned above is capable of the most extreme moods and feelings.
