We are now just less than 24 hours away from the next New Moon which occurs precisely at 02:52 am GMT, on the 14th of February (21:52 ET)

As a result moods and emotions will be very much on edge with increased anxiety as well as tense nervous restlessness. In addition there may be raised aggression with the potential for needless arguments, contention, and volatile expression. Indeed where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done with the possibility of nasty or extreme incidents and experiences.

Currently the Sun is in alignment with Neptune and this will contribute to powerful and self refining impulses with idealistic, impressionable and sensitive mood swings. At the same time there may be a firm tendency towards creative and artistic pursuits as well as enhanced perception regarding mystical or spiritual awareness.

It should be warned there may be an easy disposition to escapist inclinations that may distract from ones normal routine or render one more likely to drug or alcohol abuse. This could mean it becomes harder to get going with other more tempting alternatives consuming both time and resources, so that very little may appear to get done. Indeed there may be very elaborate means of escaping from the realities and fears of life, with some confusion and chaos, which may not make this the best time for major decisions.

Today also sees the beginning of the alignment between Venus and Jupiter. This is likely to offset some of the more aggressive elements of this pre New Moon atmosphere with more generous, expansive and affectionate feelings with a better sense of understanding and appreciation of beauty. On the other hand there may be an inclination towards vulgarity, gross exaggeration or over extravagant gestures with a reckless disposition that may lead to mishaps and accidents or else substantial financial losses and expenditure.

To complete a highly loaded emotional picture Mars is also at the peak of its opposition to Mercury which can lead to an emotionally colored imagination with irrational fears and increased mental and emotional confusion.

Once again, as one previous days this represents a highly complex emotional pattern that comes at one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. At the very least it ensures this will be a highly colorful mood pattern that is sure to pose significant challenges.
