Today sees the beginning of the so called ‘doldrum period’ which comes midway between the New Moon and Full Moon and vice versa. While this is no more than a routine bi-monthly occurrence it has important mood implications.
At this time feelings and emotions will be subject to lowered enthusiasm and inspiration with the potential for flattened and depressed inclinations or feelings of futility and despair. At times like this there may be a poor sense of drive and ambition and those confronted by a tight deadline may feel especially pressured.
On the other hand those able to take things very much at their own pace, without pushing the boundaries of mental or physical endurance may find this period a welcome time for rest and relaxation.
It should be noted however that the current ‘doldrum period’ is heavily affected by the on going alignment involving the Sun and Venus, both of which are in opposition to Mars.
With regard to moods and feelings this will create a uniquely polarised atmosphere with the intimacy, affection and understanding of Venus contrasted by the aggression, forcefulness, and volatility of Mars. Either way it means this current alert period will be subject to widely polarised feelings; at times succumbing to less than inspired emotions whilst also retaining the zestfulness and sympathy of Mars and Venus.
Alert is 7. Moon 45% illuminated.
