Today is now the day of the New Moon with increased nervous restlessness and anxiety. In addition to this there are several notable planetary alignments that will contribute to make this a highly complex mood scenario.

Under these circumstances feelings will be driven by strong emotion rather than logic and reason. In other words this will be a feast of the senses at the expense of objective analysis. Essentially it means that the heart rules the head in a contrasting canvas of emotions that have the potential to display a very colourful palette.

As with any New Moon atmosphere there will be increased tension and forcefulness, with aggressive and volatile emotions. This means that where arguments develop there may be very little restraint in what is said or done with the possibility of lasting consequences. These emotions will be made all the more acute by the consumption of alcohol whose effects will be magnified at this time. In addition there will be an added tendency to want to drink more than usual to take the edge off a highly complex mood environment.

Some measure of restraint will come from the alignment between the Sun and Venus. This has been active for at least a few weeks and although just slightly beyond its peak is still capable of very definite moods traits. These will contribute friendlier, intimate, and more affectionate feelings with a powerful element of belonging, or the need to belong and feel wanted and loved. Unfortunately where there is no focus for these feelings or a poor reciprocation there may be an intense degree of isolation and loneliness.

We are now coming to the end of the massive alignment featuring Mars, Earth Jupiter and Neptune. For some weeks now this has introduced considerable complexity to an already stretched mood scenario with notable contrasts representing a competing mood spectrum that is anything but straightforward.

This means a polarisation of feeling ranging from the more joyful, abandoned, and adventurous expressions of Jupiter to the more aggressive disposition of Mars that in this immediate New Moon situation will find heightened intensity. Yet again there is the sensitive, penetrating, and refining nature of Neptune that will provide acute feelings and emotions, with escapist tendencies that will make it hard to concentrate and keep to ones normal routine.

Coming days will see a broadly similar continuation of feelings with high intensity, but also incorporating especially rewarding and uplifting inclinations that may set the seal for future ideas and ventures.

Alert is 8.5. Moon 0% illuminated.
