10th - 11th January 2010

We are now just a matter of three or four days away from the New Moon which this month occurs on January 15th (GMT). As a result there will be heightened nervous restlessness with accentuated feelings, confusion, and anxiety. This may lead to mental turmoil, agitation, or a state of raised apprehension that some may find difficult to confront.

Under these circumstances it may feel hard to settle, with sharpened awareness, coupled with alert, sensitive, and turbulent emotions.

This current mood pattern is very much a reflection of the highly complex celestial pattern which sees the height of the alignment between the Sun, Venus and Mercury.

Mercury will account for the more acute mood tendencies, whereas Venus will instil feelings of intimacy, affection and belonging. These will also be heightened by the on going alignment featuring Mars, Earth, Jupiter and Neptune.

For some weeks now this has introduced considerable complexity to an already stretched mood scenario with notable contrasts representing a competing mood spectrum that is anything but straightforward. For example the aggressive, passionate, and forceful attributes of Mars will be balanced by the fun loving, carefree, and adventurous nature of Jupiter. On the other hand the influence of Neptune will ensure sensitivity and refined emotions with escapist tendencies that could make it difficult to keep to ones normal routine.

All in all this is a very strained period of emotional insecurity, reflecting a celestial pattern that shows ripples of influence difficult to predict and interpret with any great certainty.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 17% illuminated.
