The next few days will see little variation in the overall tendency of moods and emotions. However we are now just four or five days away from the Full Moon and this will inevitably mean that the coming week will see a very noticeable increase in tense nervous restless and anxiety.

In addition there will be a marked upsurge in aggression and anger with irritable and volatile expression. This may already be apparent with petty resentments and quarrels that may arise from the merest provocation. However the days ahead may see more serious animosities with the potential for violence or heated discussions and dissension.

A moderating influence is the fast gathering alignment between the Sun and Venus. As we have already mentioned in previous alerts this can result in more affectionate and intimate moods with a greater sense of sympathy and understanding. On the other hand this mood can just as well introduce feelings of isolation or intense frustration, with feelings of inadequacy, futility, and lack of personal esteem.

The other major alignment of this period is the ongoing conjunction featuring Mars, Earth, Jupiter, and Neptune which brings a high degree of complexity to the mood setting. Likely traits include aggressive, confrontational, and irritable mood attributes, combined with sensitive and penetrating emotions that may lead to extremes of circumstance. Indeed there may be a highly unsettling element of emotion with escapist tendencies that could make it difficult to concentrate on ones normal range of activities.

On the other hand the influence of Jupiter will at least ensure some degree of fun loving emotion with the potential for generous and humorous inclinations, fully in keeping with a festive atmosphere. Unfortunately this may also incline to reckless or over indulgent activities with a strong risk of accidents and mishaps.

On the more positive side this period will offer more zestful and enthusiastic emotions with stronger determination and ambition. At the same time there may be reduced focus and concentration, so that distracting influences may deflect attention. Essentially it means that 2009 will finish on a complex emotional footing, well in keeping with what has undoubtedly been a very trying emotional year.
