9th - 10th December 2009

Today sees the alignment of the Moon and Saturn. Usually this means a period of reserved, calculated, and disciplined moods and emotions, but also a time of restricted behaviour, with the possibility of depressed, uninspired, or pessimistic inclinations.

The Moon/Saturn alignment also comes at a time we refer to here on Mood Alert as the ‘emotional doldrums.’ This occurs midway between the Full Moon or New Moon, or vice versa. Usually this results in a period of lowered self confidence and enthusiasm with reduced self esteem. Under these circumstances problems may appear magnified with no apparent answers, or a doubtful attitude that could impede any positive solutions.

As mentioned in numerous previous alert bulletins we are also coming to the height of the alignment involving Mars, Earth, Jupiter, and Neptune. This will create a varied and complex mood pattern, with contrasts that see aggressive, extravagant, and exaggerated emotions. These are also likely to combine with more generous, sensitive, and affable inclinations to form a giant question mark that could all to easily result in a chaotic or confused disposition.

It will be appreciated that this constitutes a highly complex alert scenario, with very definite tensions and contrasts. It means that positive mood attributes will be faced with substantially less inspired emotions, but also a sensitive atmosphere with delicate and impressionable feelings.

Alert is 7. Moon 40% illuminated.
