8th - 9th November 2009

We are now entering a short but intense period of moods and feelings with complex emotions together with conflicting impulses that may be difficult to contend with. This also happens to coincide with a period that we always refer to as the ‘doldrums’. Habitually this occurs midway between the Full Moon and New Moon, or vice versa, and is usually characterised by lowered confidence and self esteem with the potential for depressed or melancholic emotions.

Either way this is generally a period of reduced emotional vitality with diminished zestfulness and enthusiasm. This time however the ‘doldrum period’ is a little different with notable planetary alignments that are adding a significant degree of contrast to what would otherwise be a flattened mood period.

In particular the Moon is still in alignment with Mars - whilst both are in opposition to Jupiter and Neptune. The result of this is a complex spread of emotions that will range between aggressive, forceful and dynamic feelings, to moods of a more spontaneous and exuberant nature, but also those of an acutely sensitive disposition with vulnerable traits and dispositions. There may also be an intense desire for escapism in its limitless guises and this could be to the detriment of a well ordered routine.

All in all the immediate mood scene is one of some complexity with contrasting emotions that could prove challenging. Certain to say this will be a colourful few days of moods that may not be to the liking of those under a tight deadline, but could be very agreeable to those able to take things very much at their own pace and leisure.

Alert is 7. Moon 58% illuminated.
