25th - 26th October 2009

We are now in what would otherwise be categorised as the ‘doldrum period’ which comes midway between the New Moon and Full Moon, or vice versa.

Normally this would result in moods and emotions that would tend towards poor self confidence, melancholia, depression and pessimism. However this time the ‘doldrum period’ is heavily influenced by the lingering effects of a moderate geomagnetic storm - which has now subsided, and also the effects of numerous planetary alignments which will affect the immediate period ahead of us.

In particular it is the influence of the alignment featuring the Moon and Jupiter which together are in opposition to Neptune which is the most interesting point of focus. Likely mood traits will see more generous, sympathetic and jovial moods, but with extreme emotional sensitivity and a penetrating sense of awareness.

In addition there may be self refining impulses but with an extravagant and exaggerated outlook that may see a tendency towards needless risks and a foolhardy sense of daring.

In effect the various mood influences may tend to balance each other out so that the most extreme inclinations will be filtered out. However in the appropriate circumstances these may come to dominate and produce unstable, disordered and unpredictable mood attributes.

The coming week will see a general rise in overall tensions and anxiety as we begin the rise to the next Full Moon on the 2nd of November, with a particular focus on the 30th of October when the Moon is in alignment with Uranus. However more on this will be given in a future alert bulletin.

Alert is 7,. Moon 50% illuminated.
