10th - 11th October 2009

We are now in the middle of the so called ‘doldrum period’ that comes midway between the Full Moon and New Moon and vice versa.

As a result moods and emotions will tend to be more subdued and dispose to feelings of depression, futility, and lack of self confidence. There will also be a lowered sense of drive and enthusiasm with some apathy and indifference. This may lead to feelings of despair, boredom or reduced hope and inspiration. Under these circumstances problems may be magnified and assume undue proportions with exaggerated feelings and inclinations.

On the more positive side this period may prove ideal for those with limited ambitions and aspirations who just want to take things easy, relax, and abide at a pace well within their mental and physical boundaries. On the other hand those who need to work to a strict deadline may find themselves especially pressured with an overload of emotion that may cause significant problems.

Coming days are likely to see similar emotions, though the next 24 hours sees the alignment of the Moon and Mars. This will at least sharpen moods and feelings with passionate, stirring, and more aggressive feelings with a tendency towards conflict and volatility. There will also be a keen sense of like and dislike and this may lead to arguments and explosive situations that despite the so called ‘doldrum period’ may be extreme in nature.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 55% illuminated.
