Frequent visitors to this site will be aware the recent period has seen moods of a highly extreme and sometimes turbulent nature. This is also reflected in the natural world with numerous natural catastrophe’s within a very short period. In South East Asia for example typhoon Ketsana left a huge swathe of destruction with hundreds of dead and widespread destruction of services as well as damage to homes and infrastructure.

Meanwhile in Samoa a major earthquake of magnitude 8 has devastated the island with many dead and missing and has led President Obama to declare a state of emergency.

On the Indonesian island of Sumatra another major earthquake of magnitude 7.6 also devastated homes and left many dead and homeless.

As we have seen many times already it shows that complex moods and feelings resulting from major alignments also have a correspondingly savage effect on the natural world around us.

Today sees the alignment of the Moon and Neptune. This is likely to create a highly delicate and sensitive mood situation with self refining, vulnerable, and penetrating emotions. Problems and impressions may acquire an over alert sense of urgency with a vivid and forceful edge to them.

It should also be remembered that we are now only just a matter of three or four days away from the Full Moon and this will inevitably create very definite tensions and anxiety. There may also be raised apprehension, worry, and concern with the possibility of arguments, animosity, and needless contention. We are now beginning a series of Lunar alignments that will add significant variety and challenge to the next few days. Over the next 24 hours will shall see the Moon in direct alignment with Neptune. This is likely to create sensitive, delicate and self refining emotions with a vulnerable and penetrating edge to them. Indeed there is likely to be acute emotional sensitivity that for some may seem disturbing. Indeed feelings will appear more vivid than usual with a nostalgic or sentimental aspect to them.

This still constitutes a highly delicate and sensitive mood atmosphere capable of very penetrating emotions. In addition there may be an easy sense of disappointment, with feelings that may quickly be upset or subject to distorted ideas and impressions. This may result in palpable frustrations with some sense of futility or even depression. Unusually acute feelings may be apparent and difficulties and problems may be exaggerated to a considerable extent.

Over the next 24 hours the Moon will come into alignment with Jupiter and this will create more expansive, light hearted and generous moods with a better sense of humour and overall improved disposition to others. There may also be exaggerated and fun loving element of risk taking with an almost reckless disregard for the consequences.
