We are now about to enter a short but concentrated period of Lunar alignments that comes just three or four days short of the Full Moon.

As with any pre Full Moon lead up moods and emotions are likely to be tense and on edge with increased nervous restlessness and anxiety. Feelings of anger and resentment are a firm possibility and there is the potential for arguments and contentious encounters, particularly where there is the consumption of alcohol. Indeed where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done and tempers may blaze brightly over the merest provocation.

The days ahead will show a marked risk for confrontational or aggressive behaviour and the on going opposition between Mars and Saturn will heighten this tendency still further.

Today sees the Moon come into opposition with both Neptune and Jupiter in quick succession. With regard to Neptune this means extreme emotional sensitivity with confused or chaotic feelings together with strong escapist tendencies. There may also be refined and delicate feelings with imaginative, psychic or intuitive mood influences that could broaden ones mental horizons and lead to ideas as well as solutions to problems that one may not otherwise have thought of.

As the Moon will also aspect with Jupiter this will lead to a sympathetic and more expansive disposition with increased generosity and understanding. It can also dispose to exaggerated, extravagant, or careless inclinations with risky or over adventurous behaviour that could lead to accidents or large financial expenditure.

Although the alignment between the Sun and Mercury is almost over it is still influential and for some days now this has led to powerful mental and nervous activity with alert and active faculties that may just be a little too strong for comfort. This can produce restless, nervous and anxious feelings with a strong desire for change and variety. Under these circumstances it may not be easy to settle, and one may feel a necessity to keep busy or a strong desire to take the edge off the atmosphere.

Another factor of this period is the pessimistic and restricted outlook of Saturn which is now in opposition to Mars. As well as promoting other more aggressive attitudes this can also lead to reduced self confidence with a flattened outlook that could make forward progress difficult. Hence there may be a strong desire to launch into exciting new schemes and ventures but significant doubts that could stifle initiative and enterprise.

Coming days will see more turbulent and forceful moods as we come to the Full Moon in what promises to be a highly colourful week of moods and feelings.
