We are now in what we refer to as the so called ‘doldrum period’ which occurs around midway between the New Moon or Full Moon or vice versa.

With regards to moods and emotions this habitually leads to a period of flattened, depressed or generally lowered emotions with reduced self confidence, enthusiasm and inspiration. On this occasion however the ‘doldrum period’ is affected by numerous other factors such as several on going planetary alignments that ensure the current ‘doldrum period’ will not be as low as it usually is.

In reality we are in a period of several consecutive days with a broadly similar mood outlook. For example the Sun is still in alignment with Mercury and this is leading to powerful mental and nervous activity with alert and active faculties that may just be a little too strong for comfort. This can produce restless, nervous and anxious feelings with a strong desire for change and variety. Under these circumstances it may not be easy to settle, and one may feel a necessity to keep busy or a strong desire to take the edge off the atmosphere.

The other dominant feature of this period is the continuing opposition between Mars and Saturn which is now at a peak. Likely mood traits to result from this are a contrasting mixture of forceful, aggressive, bullying, or cruel behaviour balanced by more controlled, disciplined or calculating feelings. In addition there may be a determined and ambitious outlook that again will be contrasted by more doubting and questioning inclinations that could prove of immense frustration to on going plans and ventures.

Effectively it could mean that although there may be a strong desire to achieve things there will be an excessive disposition to caution that may bring momentum to a stop. Under these circumstances there may be a difficulty to commit oneself to important decisions and choices as well as assume positions of high responsibility.

Coming days will continue according to a broadly similar pattern of moods until we come to the 5th of April when we come to a period of concentrated Lunar alignments.
