Today sees a very similar mood pattern to the previous alert period. Here the dominant feature is still the alignment between the Sun, Mercury and Venus. With regards to moods this is likely to bring powerful mental and nervous activity with good self expression. On the other hand it may lead to nervous upsets with unsettled emotions and a strong desire for change.

The influence of Venus will incline to a better sense of sympathy and understanding, with feelings of affection or a strong need for intimacy. Added to this there may be notable creative and artistic inclinations with a strong sense of values and a liking for pleasure seeking activities.

The opposition between Mars and Saturn is now approaching its peak and this is likely to lead to a mood of self assertive, disciplined and controlled moods and feelings with a constructive or destructive thrust of energy. This may incline towards ambitious, cruel, forceful, or bullying moods and feelings with strong aggression that will dispose to argumentative or confrontational behaviour.

This may be balanced by the influence of Venus mentioned above but there is the constant risk of contentious encounters that may erupt quite spontaneously and with notable passion and aggression. Indeed where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is done and feelings are likely to become highly enflamed even over the most trivial of matters.

In summary this is a mood of clashing emotions with notable contrasts. For example the understanding of Venus contrasted by the abrasive emotion of Mars. Then there is the raw enthusiasm and passion of Mars balanced by the more demure, limited and sometimes depressional nature of Saturn. Inevitably it means there is likely to be a confusion of feeling so that plans and ideas may be marked by a block of inertia caught between enthusiasm and caution, and could lead to a reluctance for committing to important decisions or assuming a high degree of responsibility.
