Today is the day of the New Moon and consequently moods and emotions will be tense and on edge. In addition there is likely to be a higher than usual degree of awareness with heightened nervous tension that for some could tend towards extremes.

Under these circumstances with a rich element of planetary influence there is likely to be a mixture and range of emotion that may be difficult to come to terms with. As a result feelings will range between a wide spectrum of emotions. These may include uncertain, hesitant and diffident feelings, along with those of an altogether more forceful, assertive and determinative disposition. It means that strong passions with equally a strong enthusiasm will be tempered by a more doubtful, and stagnant attitude that will provide a challenge of interests, between what is safe and comfortable and other more adventurous feelings that have a high element of risk.

Under these circumstances there may be snap decisions, with wavering inclinations that may eventually lean one way or another, but will tend towards some major decision - whether for better or for worse. It also means that this may be a time where major decisions are made with the least of consideration, and thus offering a lottery as to the eventual outcome. Certain to say that decisions made at this time may lead to significant future consequences or benefits as there will be a lowered sense of restraint in committing to things.

Today also sees the beginning of a major alignment between the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Earth. This is of relatively short duration but will magnify the New Moon effects and also heighten awareness and perception, raising it to an almost psychical extent. On top of this there may also be a tendency towards increased affection, intimacy, or the need to indulge in feelings of this nature. If unfulfilled these inclinations may find themselves mired with sensations of loneliness or isolation.

All in all this is a sensitive, aware and unstable mood atmosphere, that can offer many different things. However in a great many cases it may simply prove to be a puzzling, challenging and demanding period with as many questions as answers.
