We are now heading into one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. Inevitably this means a time of heightened moods and emotions that for some will represent a period of increased anxiety and tension, together with unnecessary fears and concerns.
Placed in context we see that the Sun is now in opposition to Saturn. This is likely to result in limited, reserved, but disciplined emotions, but also a tendency to needless fears and concerns with heightened apprehension and low self confidence. Added to this there may be a poor sense of self esteem so that doubts and misgivings may transcribe an overall mentality that may be fixed towards uncertainty, insecurity and confusion.
Under these circumstances it may be hard to reach important decisions and when faced with crucial choices there may be an understandable reluctance to reach any firm conclusions. Similarly it may be hard to commit oneself to situations that require any degree of responsibility and if possible major decisions will be abandoned for a more propitious moment.
Mars, Mercury and Neptune remain aligned and this will contribute to sensitive, acute and heightened mood impulses with an uneasy mix of restless, apprehensive and turbulent emotions that will be vulnerable to extremes, with exacting feelings that will not be easily pacified. There may also be an easy disposition to escapism in its limitless guises, but more particularly a craving for alcohol, drugs, or comfort eating as well as retail therapy.
In summary this is a difficult period of challenging emotions with the potential for extremes of circumstance that could prove to be a special test of emotional endurance. Over the next few days we shall see a move towards the so called ‘emotional doldrums’ with an emphasis on more reserved but depressive moods coupled with a mixture of alert, passionate, but pessimistic emotions.
