With just hours to go before the impending New Moon, moods and emotions are understandingly tense and anxious with increased nervous restlessness.

Under these circumstances it may prove difficult to settle, with the risk of marked apprehension, and concern that may tend to magnify problems or cause them to be seen in an unduly pessimistic light. In addition it may prove difficult to concentrate on the task in hand and there may be a tendency towards escapism that could lead to jobs being left uncompleted or avoided altogether. There is also likely to be a strong attraction for activities that appear to offer instant emotional gratification and this will not suit tasks of a more humdrum or routine nature.

The proximity of the New Moon will also lead to the increased risk of arguments and confrontation with volatile exchanges and even violence. This will be even more likely under this present New Moon as Jupiter and Mars remain in close alignment with both of them also in conjunction to Mercury. This will also increase nervous restlessness and may consequently result in the desire to take the edge of the atmosphere and could result in drinking more than usual. In turn this will raise the risk of arguments and contentious encounters in what is a period that harbours the potential for extremes of mood and circumstance.

All in all this is likely to be an unsettled emotional atmosphere but also has the possibility for zestful enthusiasm with vigorous physical energy. However this can all too easily incline towards irritable, annoyed or resentful moods with the added risk of exaggerated, risky or ill considered actions whose consequences may be around for some time to come.

This period (through its propensity to overdoing things) can similarly result in fatigue or tiredness.

Alert is 8.5. Moon 0% illuminated.
