With just hours to go before the impending New Moon,moods and emotions are understandingly tense and anxious with increased nervous restlessness.

Under these circumstances it may prove difficult to settle,with the risk of marked apprehension, and concern that may tend to magnify problems or cause them to be seen in an unduly pessimistic light. In addition it may prove difficult to concentrate on the task in hand and there may be a tendency towards escapism that could lead to jobs being left uncompleted or avoided altogether. There is also likely to be a strong attraction for activities that appear to offer instant emotional gratification and this will not suit tasks of a more humdrum or routine nature. 22nd - 23rd February 2009

Today sees a huge six planet alignment involving the Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and the Earth. Almost inevitably this will lead to extremely tense and anxious conditions that come just a matter of hours before the New Moon.

As New Moon’s go - and remember these can be every bit as much disruptive as the Full Moon - this constitutes a period of intense emotional feeling with the possibility of extremes of circumstance. Given the sheer enormity of this alignment which itself is very rare, it is impossible to be too specific with regards to probable moods and emotions. However it is certain to say that the next few days will be heavily conditioned by intense, extreme and difficult moods that those of a sensitive disposition may find challenging.

More specifically some may view this as a hyper sensitive period with increased awareness and perception. Under these circumstances emotions may register as doubly acute and aware with a pressing degree of alacrity and nervous restlessness. This may be so extreme as to necessitate the need to resort to taking the edge off the atmosphere through either drugs drink, retail therapy or the limitless ways in which people deal (or not deal) with moods of a difficult nature.
