21st - 22nd February 2009 - Extreme moods possible.

Today sees a five planet alignment involving the Earth, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter. As a result moods and emotions will be tense and on edge with increased nervous restlessness, anxiety, along with a tendency to aggressive and argumentative moods that may all too easily incline to major arguments and even violence.

Although it may be difficult to give a precise analysis of the way emotions may develop during the current alert period, it is fair to say there will be a greatly enhanced sense of awareness with sharper and more penetrating emotions that those of a sensitive nature may find difficult to come to terms with.

It is also fair to say that this atmosphere will accentuate moods of whatever nature, and since Jupiter remains very much in alignment with Mars there is every possibility of highly volatile emotions with the possibility of extremes of mood and circumstance. This may involve intensely turbulent domestic disputes and these will be made all the more likely where there is the consumption of alcohol. Above all this may instil a false sense of superiority or a haughty and arrogant attitude that will accept no criticism.

Under these circumstances arguments may arise upon the merest pretext and even the most convivial of settings may suddenly turn sour as perceived injustices may be very forcefully addressed. Similarly there may be a low threshold of tolerance and simmering animosities may quickly come to the boil.

Despite some highly negative attributes this atmosphere also offers a surprising number of very definite bonuses. For example this is a period high on nervous energy and provided it can be channelled correctly and in the right balance between mental and physical activity (the proportions of which will differ between individuals) this could turn out to be a time of very prodigious and rewarding output. It also offers a unique opportunity for out going activities, adventure as well as a good but delicate synergy between individuals that will add zest to any social occasion. Unfortunately these ingredients also incline towards extremes, and highlights the need for caution.

It should be warned that all the above attributes will be even more sharply outlined by the proximity of the New Moon in around two to three days time. Suffice it to say that this is a period split between the possibility of uniquely enjoyable moments and/or also the potential for extremes of mood and circumstance.
