17th - 18th February 2009

This continues as a period of immensely sensitive moods and feelings with vulnerable and insecure thoughts and emotions. Under these circumstances all difficulties may be exaggerated or prone to be seen in an adverse light.

This mood also disposes to impressionable, sentimental and delicate mood impulses with a powerful self refining attitude that may strive to put right perceived failings in ones behaviour and inclination. Added to this there may be a greatly heightened sense of awareness with an intuitive sense of perception that will verge towards psychic or even mystical insight.

Some may find this increased awareness disturbing as it may awaken difficult emotions with a highly sharpened edge. For some this could mean an intense need to dull the edge of this awareness through either drink, drugs, comfort eating or indeed any one of the hundreds of other ways people employ in these circumstances.

Some degree of aggression will arise from the continuing alignment of Mars and Jupiter. This may lead to argumentative, confrontational or bullying attitudes with the possibility of violence and hostility. These traits may be made all the more apparent where there is the consumption of alcohol whose effects will be magnified so that any perceived source of friction or insult will be very forcefully addressed. Indeed where arguments develop there may be very little restraint in what is said or done with consequences that may be around or some time to come.

Coming days will see a steady increase in overall tensions. and although the Sun/Neptune alignment will gradually fade it will be replaced by the alignment of Mercury with Jupiter and Mars. This will introduce yet further nervous tension and alertness, but more on this in future alerts.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 44% illuminated.
