Today sees a very definite ‘doldrum period’ that comes midway between the Full Moon and New Moon. Characteristic of this period are moods and feelings associated with lack of enthusiasm, pessimism and reduced self confidence. Because of this it may feel harder to get going with flattened, depressive or melancholic inclinations that could become challenging or filled with unnecessary concern and apprehension.

This month the ‘doldrum period’ may be made to feel all the more acute and sensitive by the alignment of the Sun and Neptune. For some days now this has created an atmosphere of heightened awareness and perception, as well as psychic or mystical intuition. Hence there may be intense feelings of a very personal nature plus a potential to experience unusual isolation in the face of any difficulties or problems.

Aggression and anger may arise from the alignment of Mars and Jupiter which may lead to argumentative, confrontational or bullying attitudes with the possibility of violence and hostility. These traits may be made all the more apparent where there is the consumption of alcohol whose effects will be magnified so that any perceived source of friction or insult will be very forcefully addressed. Indeed where arguments develop there may be very little restraint in what is said or done with consequences that may be around or some time to come.

All in all this is a profoundly sensitive emotional period with a potential for extremes of circumstance. Above all it will harbour a tendency for lowered moods and feelings so it may feel difficult to summon enthusiasm for even ones favourite tasks and ventures.
