This atmosphere finds itself at the cusp of two separate and distinct mood blocks. One is the last vestiges of the short but influential ‘doldrum period’ that comes midway between the New Moon and Full Moon, and the other is the first effects of the impending Full Moon which is now just a matter of five or six days away.

With regards to the ‘doldrum period’ this may manifest itself with an easy sense of disappointment and futility along with reduced self confidence. In addition it could feel harder to get going and emotions may be flattened or prone to depression or boredom. Under these circumstances there may be a restrained and limited outlook with an often gloomy view of ones future prospects.

On the other hand this mood could be perfect for those just content to take things easy whilst placing few demands on their time and efforts.

Fortunately the impending Full Moon means there will already be a degree of zestful enthusiasm to the atmosphere and although this may not be too apparent it will still be strong enough to prevent moods from becoming too flat or depressed. Indeed there may be elements of improved inspiration and enthusiasm not to mention ideas for future schemes and ventures. At present this could result in being in two minds about things, an undecided or sceptical frame of mind that will tend to overweigh the options even when a clear course of action is obvious. This can lead to needless delays and hesitance and may mean that important decisions are avoided altogether.

Similarly there may be a loathing for taking responsibility and the means of least resistance will be preferred rather than a more adventurous attitude.

In the present climate there is some potential for friction and arguments though more likely any discontent will be confined to irritable or bad tempered outbursts rather than any major confrontation. However the consumption of alcohol could mean that views and attitudes become more sharply expressed as its effects will be magnified at this time.

To sum up this is a mood of two separate influences that can incline towards depression or feelings of futility, but at the same time will show a keener outlook with a much more positive and optimistic disposition.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 56% illuminated.
