Today sees the alignment of the Moon and Venus in what is still a highly contentious mood situation with the possibility of extremes of circumstance. Under so called ‘normal’ conditions a Moon/ Venus alignment would contribute to more affectionate, understanding and harmonious mood impulses, and while this may characterise a certain portion of this mood period it is by no means the full story.

The truth is that we are still only just a number of days beyond the New Moon and this means that emotions will still continue to be tense and anxious with increased nervous anxiety and tension. In addition there is likely to be increased aggression, belligerence and anger with simmering resentments that may occasionally find expression in a quite dramatic fashion. Today sees a continuation of the opposition between the Moon and Uranus. As outlined in the previous days alert this is out of the top category of unsettled mood influencers and deserves to be taken seriously.

Likely moods to result from this include extreme, unstable or eccentric inclinations with a tendency to out of character thoughts and feelings. In addition there may be upheaval within the family setting with the risk of drastic or dramatic responses to even the most mundane of problems or difficulties. In fact it is precisely in this manner that the current atmosphere becomes a serious threat to harmony and even if not outwardly expressed there may be considerable inner turmoil with simmering resentments and animosity. The danger is that eventually these feelings may explode into a fury of emotion that will show little restraint in what is said or done.

The more aggressive side of this mood spectrum will be further increased by the ongoing alignment between Mars and Jupiter. For some weeks now this has instilled an extra degree of forceful, assertive, violent, impatient and intolerant moods and is presently made to feel more strident by the nervously active qualities of Mercury. As well as anything the effects of Mercury may dispose towards extra worry and apprehension so that some may feel on edge, isolated and prone to over indulge fears and concerns and elevate problems to an insoluble extent where solutions become hard to contemplate. New Moon tensions are still very prevalent in this current alert period. This means continued nervous restlessness with the potential for strained, irritable or impatient responses. Under these circumstances there may be a heavy risk of confrontation with others and the merest pretext may be enough to ignite a situation of the greatest conflict.

Overall stresses and anxiety are made all the more likely by the opposition of the Moon and Uranus. At the same time the Moon is also in alignment to Saturn.

With regards to moods and emotions this is creating a pattern that may be subject to exacting feelings with a very low threshold of tolerance. In fact any sort of Moon/Uranus alignment is well known for its disturbed, erratic and unusual mood responses. Indeed some of the worst mood circumstances often arise during Moon/Uranus alignments and are often to be found where there are extremes of circumstance, particularly in incidents that grab the news headlines. During these periods it pays to be wary of family upheavals with the potential for drastic or dramatic reactions to even the most trivial of provocation, or indeed scarcely any provocation at all. With just hours to go before the impending New Moon,moods and emotions are understandingly tense and anxious with increased nervous restlessness.

Under these circumstances it may prove difficult to settle,with the risk of marked apprehension, and concern that may tend to magnify problems or cause them to be seen in an unduly pessimistic light. In addition it may prove difficult to concentrate on the task in hand and there may be a tendency towards escapism that could lead to jobs being left uncompleted or avoided altogether. There is also likely to be a strong attraction for activities that appear to offer instant emotional gratification and this will not suit tasks of a more humdrum or routine nature. Today sees a huge six planet alignment involving the Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and the Earth. Almost inevitably this will lead to extremely tense and anxious conditions that come just a matter of hours before the New Moon.

As New Moon’s go - and remember these can be every bit as much disruptive as the Full Moon - this constitutes a period of intense emotional feeling with the possibility of extremes of circumstance. Given the sheer enormity of this alignment which itself is very rare, it is impossible to be too specific with regards to probable moods and emotions. However it is certain to say that the next few days will be heavily conditioned by intense, extreme and difficult moods that those of a sensitive disposition may find challenging.

More specifically some may view this as a hyper sensitive period with increased awareness and perception. Under these circumstances emotions may register as doubly acute and aware with a pressing degree of alacrity and nervous restlessness. This may be so extreme as to necessitate the need to resort to taking the edge off the atmosphere through either drugs drink, retail therapy or the limitless ways in which people deal (or not deal) with moods of a difficult nature.
