Today sees one of the more contentious and unsettling of the routine Lunar alignments. This is the alignment between the Moon and Uranus. This begins at around 16:00 GMT, or 12:00 EDT and lasts for approximately 15 hours.

As frequent visitors to this site will know Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of mood unsettling experiences with the ability to create bizarre, eccentric and unusual mood impulses. In addition to this there is likely to be extreme or drastic solutions to even the most mundane of problems with the potential for upheaval, arguments and confrontation within the family setting. This alignment can also dispose towards out of character thoughts and actions with behaviour or ideas that one may never have previously considered possible.

On the more positive side this alignment can lend itself to galvanic and zestful enterprise and action, so that provided one can stay focused and disciplined there may be prodigious productivity of a highly original and creative nature. In this way Moon/Uranus alignments can provide answers to problems one may not otherwise have contemplated.

This month the Moon/Uranus alignment forms part of a much larger alignment featuring the Moon, Uranus and Venus (which the Moon will align with in the early hours of the morning GMT. The alignment of the Moon with Venus will at least create a more sympathetic environment with very affectionate, popular and friendly emotions that may be rendered all the more intense and heightened by the influence of Uranus. However this may incline towards inappropriate expression with enflamed passions that will sometimes struggle to achieve a satisfactory outlet for ones thoughts and desires.

Some measure of restraint and balance will come from the influence of Saturn. This is likely to bring more controlled and disciplined emotions with a stricter sense of values and moral outlook. However Saturn can cause a hesitant doubt filled atmosphere so that even the most trivial of decisions becomes hard to make. Added to this there may be lack of confidence or self esteem with an over pessimistic view of ones prospects.

Once again this is a highly aware and sensitive mood atmosphere with the potential for extremes of mood and experience. Above all this mood should not be taken lightly as Moon/Uranus alignments are well noted for their turmoil, which can erupt from nowhere even in the most convivial of atmospheres.

It is also worth noting that this is an atmosphere of high independence with the possibility of splits within relationships, as well as illicit affairs and loose moralled inclinations. Later in the week more sedate moods should begin to make themselves apparent but this atmosphere will still continue to be challenging until the early part of next week.
