We are now at the height of a particularly intense period of moods and emotions. This comes on the very day of the New Moon which this month coincides with a period of powerful planetary alignments. Over the last week or so these have received a great deal of attention here on the Mood Alert but for those who may not follow the alert daily here is a review and prediction of probable moods and feelings.

One of the newest of the current alignments is the alignment between Mercury and Mars. This will result in very heightened sense of awareness with alert and nervously restless thoughts and attitudes. It can also lead to argumentative and sarcastic outbursts with an irritable, and emotional outlook together with a tendency towards over doing things, resulting in exhaustion or fatigue.

Fortunately this mood is tempered by the influence of Jupiter, which is now aligned with the Sun and also in opposition to the Moon. Likely mood traits include brighter and more fun loving inclinations with an improved sense of optimism and well being. This can create vibrant social interaction but can also result in exaggerated or extravagant responses with the possibility of mishaps and accidents or reckless behaviour with little heed for caution. This conjunction will certainly benefit all social occasions but in combination with alcohol may become over boisterous and even offensive.

One of the major features of this period is the alignment between Uranus and Venus. This can lead to unusual affections with a need for intimacy and strong romantic urges that may not always be appropriately expressed. Amongst other things this alignment inclines towards illicit affairs and secret relationships with a independent attitude that can see splits within long term relationships. For example it is not surprising that this is the period that sees a split in the relationship between Prince Harry of the United Kingdom and his girlfriend Chelsy The reality is this is no more than a high profile example of what a rocky period this can be for even the closest of relationships.

All in all this is a complex and at times disturbing mood atmosphere with a surfeit of emotional intensity as well as nervous energy that can make one nervy, anxious, or prone to panic attacks, or bouts of heightened insecurity. Coming days may see a small diminishing of the overall intensity of moods, but it is still likely to feel nervously restless for some days to come.

Alert is 8. Moon 0% illuminated.
