With just two or three days to go before the New Moon feelings are likely to be tense and on edge with increased nervous restlessness and anxiety.

As a result this is likely to represent a period with heightened awareness with raised apprehensions and concerns. Problems will appear to weigh more on the mind and made to acquire undue proportions. The next few days is also likely to see an increase in overall aggression, anger, and confrontational attitudes that may result in arguments and contentious encounters.

Feelings of aggression will be especially apparent around the 24th of January as the Moon begins to align with Mars. This will accentuate the above mentioned traits and make it a period especially prone to volatile or passionate outbursts.

A better sense of optimism and well being is still likely from the ongoing alignment between the Sun and Jupiter. This is now past its peak but is still influential and is contributing to a more zestful, humorous and generous disposition, but also an increased risk of exaggerated and extravagant gestures. These could render one open to mishaps, accidents or substantial errors of judgement particularly when it comes to finance as there will be an over zealous attitude tinged with false impressions of self superiority. This latter trait could apply to any venture or social setting with the possibility of an over bearing or conceited attitude.

Another prime factor of this period is the alignment between Uranus and Venus, both of which are in opposition to Saturn. For some days now this has contributed to abnormal or very excitable feelings with unusual tastes and unconventional values. This can lead to out of character behaviour with bizarre, eccentric, or even perverse modes of expression. Venus is well known for its qualities of romance and affection, and coupled with the influence of Uranus may result in affairs or illicit relationships or intensely passionate feelings that may be expressed in a highly unorthodox manner.

Fortunately both Venus and Uranus are in opposition to Saturn and this will help to curtail some of the more extreme manifestations of this conjunction. Traditional emotions associated with Saturn include increased discipline and control with a stricter sense of values and limited emotional expression. This can also result in selfish and exacting feelings with a tendency to loneliness and isolation.

To sum up, this atmosphere is one of great complexity with contrasting emotions that to some extent or other will all become apparent during this present mood period. Fortunately the balancing effects between the various influences will tend to rule out extremes, but this is still an atmosphere capable of generating challenging moods and feelings.
