21st - 22nd January 2009

We are now just four or five days away from the New Moon and moods and feelings are understandably on edge. Indeed the combination of the phase of the Moon and a spate of powerful planetary alignments have contributed to a highly challenging moods atmosphere this is filled with tense nervous restlessness.

As it is the influence of Venus and Uranus will be very strong creating moods of affection and the need for intimacy but also the possibility of bizarre tastes and values with out of character actions that may need careful handling. In many respects this is a mood situation very similar to the previous days with the added tension of being one more day closer to the New Moon.

The influence of the Sun as it aligns with both Mercury and Jupiter will tend to create powerful nervous and mental activity. In addition there may be a changeable, restless and unsettled disposition that will look for variety and change. Jupiter on the other hand will influence more optimistic and good humoured emotions with a better sense of synergy between individuals.

The other major alignment of this period features Venus and Uranus, both of which are in opposition to Saturn. So far as moods are concerned this is likely to lead excitable feelings with unusual tastes and values. Added to this there are likely to be perverse or out of character thoughts and actions with the possibility of loose morals and inclinations. There is also the potential for independent or self centred attitudes with a romantic disposition that could lead to affairs, illicit relationships, and the possibility of splits within existing relationships.

The actions of Saturn may tend towards coolly affectionate feelings with stricter values, but also an inadequacy of feeling with selfish desires, loneliness and pessimism.

All in all this is a difficult and at times highly unsettled mood situation with intense impulses and feelings that may not easily be pacified. Indeed coming days should see these intensify still further.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 18% illuminated.
