We are now very much in the so called ‘doldrum period’ that comes midway between Full Moon and New Moon, or vice versa. This is a period of reduced enthusiasm and inspiration with often flattened emotions, poor confidence, and reduced motivation. This can lead to boredom, depression, or a deep sense of futility and lack of purpose. During this period it may feel hard to get going with a lowered empathy for others, though without any great sense of acrimony or conflict, simply because feelings of this intensity may be too demanding to muster.
This time however the ‘doldrum period’ is made significantly more zestful by the alignment of Mercury and Jupiter. This will contribute to a nervously active situation with more zestful feelings than would normally be the case at this time of month. In addition there is likely to be a better sense of affability and humour as well as overall friendliness and affection.
On the other hand the influence of Jupiter can tend towards over exaggerated moods and inclinations with reckless, hasty, or ill judged actions that may result in accidents, mishaps, or the expenditure of large sums of money on extravagant items or those that may quickly lose their appeal.
Coming days will see a slight increase in overall enthusiasm and nervous energy. This will mainly reflect the current celestial pattern with the beginning of an alignment between Uranus and Venus. But more on this in a subsequent alert.
Alert is 7.5. Moon 57% illuminated.
