This continues to be a highly complex mood situation that is prone to extremes of circumstance. This is largely because of a short but powerful period of Lunar alignments, as the Moon aspects with a variety of planets in the space of just several days.

Currently the Moon remains in opposition to Uranus, and also in alignment with Saturn. In addition to this Mercury and Jupiter are now beginning to align. With regards to moods and emotions this will create a sharply polarised atmosphere with a tendency towards uncomfortable, unstable and unsettling mood influences.

The effects of Uranus will tend towards bizarre, out of character and even perverse mood influences. This can mean upheaval within the family setting with the risk of unstable, drastic, or very dramatic reactions to even the most mundane of problems and circumstances. Under these conditions arguments may blaze brightly upon the merest pretext and there will be very little restraint in what is said or done. In addition there may be a cool ruthless element of detachment that may inflict suffering on others with very little regard for their feelings.

The influence of Saturn will also be very strong at this time. This will tend to cool, reserved and disciplined emotions, but also a pessimistic, outlook with poor self confidence. Feelings of depression or lack of esteem may give way to emotions of futility and there will be a diminished sense of drive and inspiration.

Fortunately the commencement of the alignment between Mercury and Jupiter will add some zest and enthusiasm, but its influence is likely to be weakly felt and may not be sufficient to ward off some of the more unpleasant elements mentioned above. Even so the Mercury/Jupiter alignment will continue to grow stronger over the next few days and will be especially welcome when we come to the so called ‘doldrum period’ in around two or three days.

For the present however this represents a short but challenging period with strong emotions that may cause problems over the next 24 hours.
