We are now just hours away from the Full Moon which this month will be even more intense since it coincides almost exactly with Lunar Perigee. This is the point in the Moon’s monthly cycle when the Moon is closest to the Earth and so its effects will be even more forcefully felt.

As a point of comparison this is the largest Full Moon of the year, appearing as much as 30% brighter than most other Full Moon’s for the rest of the year. It is also worth mentioning that the current Full Moon is almost entirely unaffected by other planetary alignments so that its effects will be even more forcefully felt.

In fact the Moon also comes into conjunction with Mars at this point and this will add yet more intensity to an already over saturated emotional situation.

Typical Full Moon traits include a disposition towards irritable, confrontational and even violent emotions that will easily inclines towards arguments and contentious encounters. Indeed where arguments develop there will be very little restraint in what is said or done with consequences that may be around for a long time to come. It is worth pointing out that even knowing this is going to happen is often no protection against avoiding its effects as there is sometimes a desire to argue, even if only for the sake of it. In addition the behaviour of others may be especially confrontational and push to the limit ones capability to react in a measured and balanced fashion.

Under these circumstances passions may be running especially high so that the merest pretext may be the spark for a major outburst. This will be particularly likely where there is the consumption of alcohol as its effects will be magnified to a considerable extent.

The overall mood situation is made even more volatile by the opposition of the Moon and Mars. Traditionally the planet of war, Mars will add yet further zest, passion and volatility to the already extreme mood atmosphere and means that this present time needs the most careful of attention.

The present celestial pattern means there will inevitably be a period of very sharpened moods and feelings with heightened awareness and perception that will raise tensions and contribute to a high degree of anxiety and apprehension. As a result all problems will be magnified and made to assume undue dimensions so that answers may appear hard to find.

On the more positive side this atmosphere will introduce a galvanic energy that will be great for on going schemes and ventures, but especially those that require sole effort rather than team co-ordination since any group activities unless united by a firm goal and desire will be susceptible to the likelihood of very apparent division of opinion.

It cannot be too highly stressed that this is out of the top category of unsettling mood influences and if care is not taken may lead to spectacular arguments and scenes of a highly violent nature. On the other hand provided balance and proportion are maintained there is the potential to achieve a great deal especially where this concerns activities of a creative nature.
