We are now just a matter of a day or two away from the Full Moon on the 11th of the month. It is worth noting that this first Full Moon of the New Year will also be the brightest of 2009. It will not only be up to 30% brighter than any others, but also appear appreciably larger. This is because this month the Full Moon arrives almost exactly on Lunar Perigee, which is the time in the Moon’s monthly cycle that brings it closer to Earth.

With regards to moods and emotions this is bound to make it a more intensely experienced Full Moon so that feelings of aggression and confrontation, not to mention restlessness and anxiety will all be well to the fore. In addition to this the current Full Moon is largely unaffected by any other planetary alignments which means that its most strident effects will see little balancing from other sources.

As it is the next few days are likely to be filled with heightened awareness and perception with increased zest and enthusiasm, but also a tendency towards nervous agitation, turmoil and apprehension. Under these circumstances all problems will appear magnified and arguments may develop upon the merest pretext. This will be especially so where there is the consumption of alcohol and tempers as well as overall passions may blaze brightly. Indeed where arguments develop there will be very little restraint in what is said or done, and there will also be an inclination to volatile and even violent behaviour.

It cannot be too highly stressed that this mood can dispose towards extremes of emotion, with the risk of great upheaval within the family setting. Hence there is need for the utmost of restraint as the next few days will see testing circumstances that could leave consequences for some time to come.

On the more positive side this atmosphere offers dynamic energy for on going schemes and ventures as well as renewed zest and enthusiasm. It also offers a strong platform for future ideas whose influence may be of a decisive edge in shaping ones future direction.
