We are now very much in the twice monthly period referred to here as the ‘doldrum period’. As frequent visitors to this site will know this occurs midway between the Full Moon or New Moon, bringing more sedate, reserved and even depressive moods and feelings.
As well as this there is the possibility of reduced enthusiasm and inspiration with lowered self confidence and optimism.
This particular month the so called ‘doldrum period’ is affected by the influence of the alignment between Mercury and Jupiter. This will add much needed zest to balance the more depressive elements of this alert pattern. It will also add a better sense of well being and optimism, so that the two highly polarised mood blocks will see noticeable contrasts that will all become apparent at some time or other during the course of the next few days. We are now very much in the twice monthly period that we often refer to as the ‘emotional doldrums’. As we have mentioned many times already this comes midway between the Full Moon and New Moon, or vice versa. With regards to emotions this constitutes a short but noticeable period where moods may be flattened and subject to diminished inspiration and enthusiasm. In addition there may be depressed, or subdued feelings with reduced self esteem and confidence.
On the other hand the effects of the Jupiter/Mercury alignment will ensure that any of the above mentioned moods will at least have a contrasting influence. For example there may be enhanced nervous stimulus with zestful and keen emotions though this may all too easily tend towards apprehension and anxiety.
There is also likely to be enhanced awareness and perception with strong intuitive reasoning. This could prove unsettling, however, provided that the right mix can be maintained between physical and mental exercise then this should ensure optimum circumstances for improved well being.
