This is a very similar mood to the previous day with a nondescript, and compared to the previous week, comparatively sedate emotional setting. However there are still things to be wary of. Saturn still remains in opposition to both Uranus and Venus.

With regard to moods this is creating a period of coolly affectionate moods and emotions with a stricter sense of values and conformity. However there may be exacting or difficult mood impressions that may open the door to isolation and loneliness. This in turn may create a longing for intimacy, companionship, or just a greater feeling of needing to belong to some greater aim or purpose as there may be a disposition towards futility or undue pessimism.

These latter mentioned emotions may grow especially noticeable over the next few days as we head towards the so called ‘emotional doldrums’ mid way between the New Moon and Full Moon. With Saturn still very much in opposition to Uranus this may dispose towards eccentric or out of character behaviour with thoughts that may tend to be original or deviate strongly from ones normal pattern. Today sees a slight but noticeable climb down from the heightened moods and emotions of the last few days. As a result there may not be the same degree of urgent apprehension, but this does not mean to say this period is without its challenges. For example there is still an unmistakable atmosphere of nervous restlessness to the atmosphere that could contribute to unsettled and disordered moods and inclinations.

Under these circumstances it may feel difficult to settle with low concentration and enthusiasm or else feelings of futility and low self esteem. Similarly there may be an inordinate focus on sources of worry and concern so that difficulties and problems may be exaggerated and magnified to an undue extent.

The reality is that after a period of very intense moods and emotions we are now coming to a time of relative calm, and one which may not display the same amount of zestful enthusiasm. Read the rest of this entry »

Today sees one of the more contentious and unsettling of the routine Lunar alignments. This is the alignment between the Moon and Uranus. This begins at around 16:00 GMT, or 12:00 EDT and lasts for approximately 15 hours.

As frequent visitors to this site will know Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of mood unsettling experiences with the ability to create bizarre, eccentric and unusual mood impulses. In addition to this there is likely to be extreme or drastic solutions to even the most mundane of problems with the potential for upheaval, arguments and confrontation within the family setting. This alignment can also dispose towards out of character thoughts and actions with behaviour or ideas that one may never have previously considered possible.

On the more positive side this alignment can lend itself to galvanic and zestful enterprise and action, so that provided one can stay focused and disciplined there may be prodigious productivity of a highly original and creative nature. We are still in a heightened alert pattern with powerful planetary alignments that have exerted a significant influence on moods over the last week or so.

In many respects the overall mood atmosphere is little changed from just 24 hours ago. For example Mars is still at the peak of its short alignment with Mercury and this has contributed to heightened mental and nervous stimulus with assertive, forthright and enterprising inclinations, but also the risk of explosive moods with heightened irritability, argumentativeness and anger.

Meanwhile the Uranus/Venus conjunction with both in opposition to Saturn also carries a sizeable mood impression. This can mean eccentric, excitable and unstable moods and feelings with a strong need for intimacy and affection. Since Uranus is also the planet of deviance from the norm it follows that an any romantic inclinations may be tinged with eccentric, bizarre, or even perverse modes of expression with the potential for inappropriate behaviour. Just a day after the New Moon and moods and emotions continue to be tense and on edge with increased nervous restlessness and anxiety. In addition many will feel governed by an extra sense of urgency and apprehension with a vulnerable and insecure mood outlook.

As well as the New Moon part of the reason for this increased tension is due to the alignment between the Moon and Neptune. This can lead to chaotic and confused mood impulses with unstable emotions that may verge towards neurotic and escapist tendencies. In addition to this there may be acute emotional sensitivity so that problems, concerns and worries will be exaggerated or magnified to an unwarranted extent.
