Only a day short of the New Moon and tensions are running understandingly high. Extra zest and aggression, but also extra risk of contentious violent and volatile attitudes are all possible along with confused or chaotic thoughts and actions.

Under these circumstances there may be frequent changes of mind with low concentration and attention. In addition to this it may be difficult to commit oneself to hard work and effort and as we have mentioned in frequent previous alerts this is partly due to the special energies of this period as the Sun begins to align to a background of our own Galaxy - the Milky Way!

This month New Moon tensions are rendered all the more powerful by the peak of the Venus/Neptune alignment. This creates sensitive, sentimental, and emotional thoughts and feelings with the possibility of mood swings, deceit and self deception. Either way this period is prone to extremes. This was very dramataically illustrated by the tragic killing of around eight people when a crazed gunman opened fire on a Christmas Eve party at a town around 25 miles east of Los Angeles. The next few days is likely to continue in a tense and heightened manner with a continuing risk of extreme moods and feelings. However it will also reveal more sensitive and delicate emotions with definite passions and renewed enthusiasm that could open the way to new and more rewarding experiences or the rekindling of existing ones. In addition to this Jupiter will begin to align with Mercury, and as well as increased nervous awareness there is likely to be a fun loving and vibrant sense of enjoyment that are likely to bring enhanced celebrations to end of year festivities.
