Today is the day of the Equinox which signifies the official passage into either autumn or spring according to which hemisphere you happen to reside in. This occurs precisely at 15:44 GMT or 11:44 EDT. The Equinox is also associated with its own special tensions and anxieties which are more evident for some than others. In fact there are those who feel particularly on edge at this time with notable apprehensions together with increased nervous restlessness.
This time the Equinox coincides with the period we often refer to here as the ‘emotional doldrums’ which occurs around midway between the Full Moon or New Moon or vice versa. At these periods there is a flattened and sometimes depressive feeling to the emotional atmosphere with reduced enthusiasm, optimism, and self confidence. The reality is that this period affects some more than others so that a some may just feel a welcome lessening of stress and anxiety.
At these times there may also be a lessening in drive and determination and it could feel harder to get going. In addition there may be a loathing for important decisions and these may be avoided if at all possible. Similarly there may be an indecisive and hesitant attitude where doubts and misgivings may hinder previously agreed plans and endeavours. Read the rest of this entry »
