This is one of numerous consecutive days that are broadly affected by very much the same influence. This involves the alignment between the Sun and Saturn, both of which are in opposition to Uranus, and also the on going alignment between Mercury, Venus and Mars. On top of this there is also the last stages of the so called ‘doldrum’ period to contend with.

Frequent visitors to this site will be aware that between the New Moon and Full Moon, or vice versa there is a short but noticeable period where moods and emotions become flattened and particularly prone to reduced zest and enthusiasm with often little motivation to achieve anything beyond the very basic requirements of daily life.

However the reality is that the current ‘doldrum period’ which is likely to last for no more than a day longer is affected by the above mentioned alignments. This means that the effects of Saturn will contribute yet further to an overall sense of depression, pessimism, or lowered self confidence. Under these conditions problems may appear magnified with insecure, doubting and indecisive attitudes that could make it difficult to reach all but the most simple of decisions. In addition problems may loom large and acquire monumental proportions, and there may be a propensity towards needless worry and apprehension with quite definite fears for the future.

On the other Saturn can also incline towards cool, logical, and discipled thinking that may be a distinct aid for setting out plans for the future, even if the determination and concentration needed to bring these plans to fruition may so far be lacking.

The effects of Uranus, which is in opposition to both the Sun and Saturn continue to be quite strongly felt. These dispose towards extremes of mood with the possibility of drastic or dramatic responses to even the most mundane of problems and have the potential for causing significant upheaval within the family setting. Uranus also inclines towards strange, bizarre or unusual mood influences with the possibility of eccentric and even perverse inclinations with out of character thoughts and actions.

The more aggressive and energetic side of this mood atmosphere will be further boosted by the on going alignment between Mars and Venus and Mercury. This will introduce a degree of enthusiastic and forceful energy to combat the more depressive and restricted elements of Saturn. Moreover the combination of Mercury and Venus has been introducing at least some semblance of pleasanter moods and emotions along with a more understanding and sympathetic attitude.

All in all this mood is still one of considerable complexity with strongly contrasting moods that will create a mixture of different attitudes. As to which of these prevail may be largely due to personal outlook, but suffice it to say that any existing circumstances, including sources of tension and anxiety may all be exaggerated to a considerable extent.

Coming days should see an increase in more zestful moods as we approach the Full Moon and this will also lead to nervous restless together with creative energy and enterprise, but also the possibility of tensions and conflict.
