We are now at the height of a short but noticeable twice monthly period that we often refer to here as the ‘emotional doldrums.’ This occurs midway between the New Moon or Full Moon, and vice versa and is characterised by a brief spell of significantly lowered moods and emotions. These can often tend towards melancholia or depression with reduced enthusiasm and inspiration. In addition there may be flattened moods and feelings with poor self confidence and motivation.

This month the so called ‘doldrum’ period is further heightened by numerous planetary alignments whose conflicting and contrasting energies add yet more complexity to what is an already challenging mood situation.

The Sun is still very much in alignment with Saturn and this will heighten feelings connected with depression and melancholia along with reduced self confidence. There are also likely to be noticeable fears and apprehensions along with an indecisive disposition that could make it difficult to make up ones mind about anything. Read the rest of this entry »
