We are now just five days away from the New Moon and already the first signs of New Moon tensions are beginning to make themselves apparent.

As far as moods and feelings are concerned this will mean increased nervous tension and restlessness with heightened awareness and perception. Inevitably this will tend towards raised apprehensions and anxiety as well as baseless fears and concerns. In addition there is the potential for aggression and anger with the possibility of agitated and turbulent emotions together with arguments that may erupt on the merest pretext.

The propensity to contentious moods and feelings will be further reinforced by the continuing alignment between Mercury and Venus, both of whom are in opposition to Uranus. The Mercury/Venus element of this alignment may create keen and energetic moods with plenty of zestful enthusiasm. This will be complimented by friendlier and more affectionate emotions with a better sense of harmony and rhythm. However the effects of Uranus will be very strongly felt and this will all too readily incline towards extremes of emotion with the likelihood of erratic, strong willed and rebellious inclinations.

Added to this there may be bizarre, eccentric or out of character moods with the possibility of perverse or unstable feelings that in certain circumstances may be difficult to control. This will certainly be so where there is the consumption of alcohol and since there may be an added desire to drink more than usual it means that alcohol fuelled outbursts are a firm possibility.

Today sees the end of the opposition between the Sun and Neptune. For almost exactly a month this has brought refined, delicate and supremely sensitive moods and emotions along with an intuitive and even psychic degree of awareness.

In a few days we enter another bloc of mood influences with several long term alignments including the opposition between Saturn and Uranus that will last until around the end of the year. However more on this and its likely effects will be included in a future alert bulletin. For the moment however it is the New Moon tensions, together with the erratic, extreme, and at times even hysterical nature of Uranus that will previal the most.
