We are now coming to a point in the Lunar cycle that we often refer to here as the ‘emotional doldrums.’ This habitually occurs when the Moon is around 50% illuminated, or else mid way between Full Moon and New Moon or vice versa.

Usually at a time like this there is a noticeable diminishing in the intensity of moods and emotions, though this can sometimes result in a degree of melancholia or depression. This month however the ‘doldrum’ periods are not quite as sedate or nondescript as they usually are and although there may not quite be the same intensity of emotion as only a few days ago there is still need to be wary.

Aside from the current phase of the Moon the major mood influencing factor of this time is the alignment between Venus, Mercury, both of which are also in opposition to Uranus. As we have mentioned several times already this is leading to an atmosphere where more agreeable, affectionate and harmonious mood feelings are contrasted by altogether more extreme and demanding emotions as Uranus is habitually the planet that leads to a sharp deviation from the norm.
