This continues to be a very heightened post Full Moon atmosphere though with perhaps just a little less intensity than of late. Later in the week this diminishing will become all the more evident but for the moment very apparent tensions still prevail.

One of the principal features of this current alert pattern is the opposition between the Moon and Mars. For the next 24 hours, until around 09:00 GMT (05:00 EDT) this will introduce sharpened and more passionate feelings with a keen sense of zest and intensity. This will lead to energetic, quick witted attitudes and emotions but also intolerant, impulsive or forceful behaviour with the potential for conflict and arguments. Under these circumstances feelings will easily be aroused and contentious encounters as well as volatile outbursts may erupt on the merest pretext.

Another principal feature of this alert is the continuing opposition between the Sun and Neptune. This has been active now for at least several weeks and is contributing to a sensitive and emotional mood climate with vulnerable and impressionable feelings that may be prone to nervous upsets or over emotional outbursts. Under these circumstances there may be an intense attraction towards escapism in its limitless guises and there may be a particular temptation for a quick fix measure of reassurance. This may take the form of increased drinking or drug abuse or simply eating more than usual, or indeed any activity that seems to offer instant emotional gratification.

The Sun/Neptune opposition can also dispose towards enhanced spiritual or mystical awareness and offers a safer alternative for mental stability with the possibility of opening inner pathways to more fulfilling activities and states of mind.

Another prime influence at this time is the fast moving alignment featuring Mercury and Venus, both of which are now in opposition to Uranus. The characteristics of Mercury and Venus naturally tend towards charm and affection with a powerful sensual experience and a better degree of harmony and understanding. This means that mental activity will be stimulated by the senses with a powerful synergy between individuals, amounting to a desire to communicate and share feelings and emotions in an affectionate, flirtatious and intimate manner.

With the added factor of Uranus this alignment may also dispose towards extremism, perversity or nervous disturbances that may be difficult to control. This may also lead to unconventional attitudes and behaviour with unusual tastes and dispositions and also to particularly loose morals. Under these circumstances relationships may come under a heavy test of fidelity with the potential for separations, splits and divorce. Indeed as we reported only a few days ago the last few months has seen a staggering 150% increase in divorces within the British Isles.

Coming days should see a noticeable diminishing in the force and intensity of emotions although this will still remain a period of comparatively heightened moods and feelings in what is still one of the years most concentrated periods of celestial activity.

As a footnote to this current alert it is worth pointing out that the earth’s atmosphere is currently being buffeted by a moderate to high speed Solar wind stream. Yesterday this created a sudden upsurge in geomagnetic activity and this can also lead to definite physical and mental symptoms. These can range from not feeling well for no apparent reason, with nausea, palpitations dizziness or just generalised fatigue and exhaustion with lethargy and tiredness. Neuralgic pains may also be apparent with the added potential for sudden headaches or toothache. It should be said, as we always do, that if these symptoms are indeed due to increased geomagnetic activity they will be of short duration only, and if persisting for longer than a few days are likely to be of some other origin.
