We are now very much in a period that we often refer to as the ‘emotional doldrums.’ This comes at a time that lies midway between the Full Moon and New Moon, or vice versa. As the name implies this results in a short but noticeable period of subdued moods and emotions that can result in reflective and contemplative emotions that may all to easily tend towards depressive moods and feelings.

On this occasion the above mentioned feelings may be made all the more intense by the actions of Neptune which is perhaps the dominant mood influencing source of this period. For example Neptune is currently approaching the peak of its opposition to the Sun and is also in opposition to both Mercury and Venus.

With regards to moods and emotions this is likely to result in refined and sensitive feelings with a disposition to idealistic, sentimental, or even spiritual influences. Indeed there will be increased intuition and perception with enhanced mystical awareness, including psychic powers that may open up inner pathways to new ideas, concepts, or states of mind that might otherwise have remained totally unreachable. In addition there will be a boost to all creative and expressional abilities though a certain degree of confusion and mental chaos could mean that it might be difficult to make the best possible use of these traits.
