As a mood situation this is very similar to that of the last mood alert. This describes a period of delicate and sensitive emotions that will be highly influenced by the effects of Neptune as it aligns with the Sun and also comes into opposition with both Venus and Mercury. The result is a time of penetrating, refined, and intuitive feelings with idealistic, sentimental, and highly receptive mood qualities that will bring an added sense of awareness and perception. Indeed this may lead to enhanced spiritual or mystical insight with the potential for psychic awareness or thoughts and ideas that may open up inner pathways of personal discovery.

On another level this atmosphere could result in confused, forgetful, or chaotic thoughts with self delusion, deceit, or even neurotic inclinations with a heavy attraction towards escapism in its limitless guises. As well as anything this could mean that keeping to a well ordered routine may prove difficult and there will be a strong liking for activities involving variety and change or those that broaden the mind or offer instant emotional rewards. Artistic and intellectual pursuits will be extremely well indicated and this may be a good time for creative exploits or an appreciation of the finer things in life. Under these circumstances music may come to be especially meaningful though there will be a definite inner search towards a more refined, balanced and rhythmic inclination.

Some measure of aggression may come from the continuing opposition between Uranus and Mars. This will remain active until the last week of this month and is creating an atmosphere of excitable, erratic, and strongly self willed emotions with high nervous restlessness. Added to this there may be bizarre, eccentric or out of character moods and feelings with the possibility of behaviour that may deviate strongly from the norm. This could lead to conflict with others with the possibility of extremes, but the influence of the other more refined factors mentioned above means there should be a welcome buffer against the more turbulent aspects of this mood setting. Even so this does not preclude occasional outbursts of an explosive nature and especially where there is the consumption of alcohol these may, for a limited duration, blaze brightly and be capable of especially wounding remarks and comments.

Coming days will show a definite diminishing in the intensity of moods and emotions as we approach that period of the Lunar cycle we often refer to here as the ‘emotional doldrums,’ but more will be said on this in a future alert bulletin.

It should be warned that whatever the mood indications we are currently in one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments and by definition this has the potential for extremes with highly sensitive feelings that for some may prove to be disturbing. Problems too may appear to be magnified and there may be a strong temptation to take the edge off the atmosphere through drinking or eating more than usual. In fact those prone to delicate atmospheres may find this period to be high on melancholic or reflective energy with strong feelings that could prove challenging.

On the other hand this period offers a fantastic opportunity to think and create according to a highly original pattern and the consequences of this mood - whether for better or for worse - is likely to be around for a long time to come.
