We are now just two or three days away from the Full Moon and tensions are beginning to mount with tense nervous restlessness as well as heightened moods and emotions. Indeed this is now a period of greatly heightened awareness that will become even further intensified in the days ahead as we approach the Full Moon.

Inevitably as with any immediate pre Full Moon period there is bound to be increased anxiety and tension and this will manifest itself in a period of uneasy moods and feelings. As a result it will feel difficult to settle and although there will be added zest and enthusiasm the sheer intensity of the period could mean that paradoxically little may appear to get done or else time may appear to drift by with a distressing degree of swiftness.

An unavoidable element of this period are the habitually aggressive and even bellicose tendencies that the lead up to the Full Moon is capable of generating. Under these circumstances arguments and disagreements may flare up on the merest pretext, and there may be an intolerant attitude towards opinions and attitudes that may be in any way different to our own.

The above mentioned traits will be further heightened by the continuing alignment between Mars and Saturn. This is capable of generating feelings of strong ambition with a practical and efficiently inclined energy that will however dispose to selfish, or self orientated emotions that may not relate well to the needs of others. At its most extreme this particular influence can generate feelings of a cruel, violent, ruthless, and unscrupulous nature with a potential to ride roughshod over other people’s feelings and sense of well being.

The more agreeable side of the Mars/Saturn alignment is its propensity to well thought out reasoning and control with a good mixture of passion and discipline that provided it is kept to a balance will ensure a very calculating and purposeful attitude. In effect this mood inclines to a high element of neutrally disposed energy that may inspire either constructive or destructive tendencies whose benefits and consequences may be around for a long time to come.

In earlier alerts we have referred to this time as one of pivotal importance and without doubt this is an accurate appraisal of a period that can bring out the best or the worst in people. The reality is that there may be something of a trade-off with feelings of a strong cathartic nature balanced with other more negatively inclined moods and emotions. As to which of these win out will largely be down to personal character and circumstance, but this present mood atmosphere offers a major chance to grasp hold of opportunities that sometimes are very few and far between.

The above mentioned traits concerning planning and ideas will be even further enhanced by the start of the opposition between Jupiter and Mercury. This may give rise to a thoughtful and philosophical attitude with good judgement and a stronger nervous disposition that may better handle problems and dilemmas. It may also instil optimistic and expansive mental expression though there may be a tendency towards careless judgement and exaggeration.
