This still remains a mood atmosphere somewhat anchored in that period we often refer to here as the emotional doldrums. In other words a short but noticeable time of few great highs or lows with a nondescript and unremarkable feel to it.

All too often the above mentioned circumstances can lead to reduced enthusiasm and inspiration with a lowered degree of self confidence and optimism. As a result there may be frustrating moods and feelings with some melancholia or depression, accompanied by a sense of futility or the impression that events may be a passing you by. Other traits may include boredom, cynicism or else a general lethargy that could make it harder to get going. As a result tasks may be left unfinished, delayed, or abandoned altogether.

On the other hand this mood and atmosphere will suit those able to take things very much at their own pace with an unhurried demeanour that will suit a vacational atmosphere and those able to just sit back and relax whilst doing nothing in particular. By contrast those on a tight deadline may come to feel especially pressured and will struggle to keep to a firm schedule.

The reality is that the circumstances mentioned above are soon set to change as we shall shortly be entering a more zestful and animated mood period as we begin the lead up to the next Full Moon which occurs in around five or six days time. Inevitably this will be at the expense of altogether more stressful or tense emotions, but those needing a firm boost to their feelings should not have long to wait.

A prime element of this current alert pattern is the alignment between Mars and Saturn. This alignment is now at a peak and the two planets are now at their closest approach for the next 14 years. As mentioned numerous times already the two have widely differing characteristics and this is reflected in a contrasting moods and feelings that may range from more forceful and direct feelings with strong determination and ambition to a more restricted and limited disposition that will see problems and difficulties at every turn. This means that although there may be an inclination towards new and exciting dreams and ventures there will also be a tempering influence that may cast doubts and insecurity even over the most mundane of choices.

This alignment can also result in selfish and self centred attitudes that may not relate well to the needs of others and there is also the potential for cruel, unscrupulous or even violent mood gestures that will become even more apparent as we move towards the next Full Moon in the week ahead.
