The dominant feature of this current alert pattern continues to be the on going opposition between the Moon and Uranus. The pair will remain conjunct until around 20:00 GMT (16:00 EDT), and as frequent visitors to this site will know alignments between the Moon and Uranus are out of the top category of unsettling mood influences.

Likely mood traits to result from the Moon/Uranus alignment include strange, bizarre, extreme and out of character moods and feelings along with restless and unstable emotions. Added to this there may be a galvanic sense of zeal and energy together with strong moods and impressions that could produce conflict with others. This opposition is especially likely to cause friction within the family setting so that difficulties will be magnified and even the most trivial of problems may be the catalyst for serious upheaval and disruption.

Where this alignment becomes dangerous is that it can blur the distinction between normal modes of behaviour and produce a character shift of such intensity that people can often find themselves doing things they would not normally contemplate. Indeed Moon/Uranus alignments are often present at the time of particularly vicious or perverse acts of murder and in a great many cases these involve previously law abiding citizens who just suddenly snap and commit the most brutal of crimes.
