The principal feature of the current alert, and indeed for at least the next 24 hours until 20:00 GMT or 16:00 EDT is the opposition between the Moon and Uranus. As frequent visitors to this site will no doubt be aware Moon/Uranus alignments, whether as direct conjunctions, or the present opposition, are out of the top category of disturbing mood influences. All too often these periods tend towards extremes and it is no coincidence that many of the more brutal and frenzied of murders, including mass killings are usually found to have a definite Moon/Uranus connection.

For the period mentioned above there is likely to be strange, bizarre, or out of character moods and feelings with a tendency towards eccentric or even perverse modes of behaviour. In addition there may be agitated, restless or highly strung emotions that will all too easily dispose to extremes with the possibility of drastic or dramatic remedies for even the most trivial of problems. Inevitably this may be a difficult period for family harmony and there may be extremes of situation with rebellious and argumentative attitudes together with stormy and agitated emotions that will not easily be settled. Under these circumstances all problems will be magnified and made to assume undue dimensions and this will add fuel to what is a highly unstable period of moods and emotions.

The above mentioned situation will be heightened yet further by the alignment between Mars and Saturn which is now at a peak. This is contributing a more forceful and aggressive attitude that may easily tend towards cold, brutal and harsh extremes. Feelings of strong ambition may also be evident but these will be filled with self centred attitudes that may not relate well to the needs and problems of others. Hence there may be a dispassionate disposition that although tempered by the effects of the Venus/Jupiter opposition mentioned below will still be of a very apparent nature.

The traits of Saturn and Mars are sharply polarised but in this case may work together so that the more assertive, passionate, and spontaneous elements of Mars may be channelled towards more premeditated and deliberate action, whether of a constructive or destructive nature. This is vital to note because the considerable energy of this period may be utilised to great effect and purpose or else of such a magnitude that it may lead to highly desperate moods and feelings with consequences that may be around for a long time to come.

One of the more cheerful elements of this alert pattern is the alignment between Venus and Jupiter. This will contribute to pleasanter and more agreeable feelings with a better sense of sociability and friendship. Although this will be a boost to all social occasions and help foster a degree of amiability there will inevitably be a degree of influence from the other factors in this alert which will tend to diminish the overall strength of its influence. At the very least however it will ensure that the harsher elements of this alert period do not become as extreme as they might otherwise have done.

Another thing to be aware of is that the Venus/Jupiter opposition may also lead to exaggerated, extravagant or over boisterous moods and feelings of a reckless or careless attitude that in this case may be reinforced by the influence of the Moon/Uranus alignment mentioned above.

It should be warned that the effects of alcohol will not only be magnified but give way to a strange and bizarre attitudes with sensitive or melancholic attitudes that may see the release of extremely powerful emotions that may not easily be calmed and could lead to extreme circumstances.

It cannot be too highly stressed that this atmosphere harbours the potential for extremes of thought and action. In particular there may be vulnerable, sensitive and insecure moods and feelings with a strong feelings that run the risk of conflict with others. Indeed where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done with even the possibility of extremes of violence. Hence this is definitely an atmosphere that requires the greatest of care and attention since difficult circumstances may arise suddenly with very little warning.
